Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Tucson is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tucson follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Amazing facility once you can see it. Any member of the staff is quite helpful and knowledgeable. Some of the best desert roses in Arizona maybe even the United States. Decent pricing on most things. For any desert plant I will be back.

WOW. This place is like a botanical garden meets nursery: huge variety of unusual desert hardy plants. Anthony and Gene are great to talk with about care etc of any of the plants. I didnβt plan on getting anything because I had to fly home, but ended up flying home with a plant in my lap

I have bought all of my desert plants from this place for more than 35 years! They have a great variety of healthy plants that thrive in the desert. The other big plus is that the owners really know about how to care for all of their plantsβprobably the best informed in Tucson! If youβre a plant lover and care to raise sustainable desert-loving interesting plants, this is the place!
